A solid Lombard Papa side visit the Sostoi on Saturday

Papa just avoided relegation last season but are now a midtable side.

Lombard Papa started this season well, drawing their first home game against newly promoted side Puskas FC, before winning their next three league matches under the management of Balint Toth. It was a noticeable feat as his side had just avoided the drop in to the second division last season, finishing just ahead of relegated Siofok.

Papa's good home form is the main contributor to a better season, with just 4 sides coming away from the Perutz stadium with the maximum three points - (DVTK, FTC, Vidi and MTK). Things have been tougher on the road with just three wins (Honved, Mezokovesd and Pecs), with their last win away from home having been the 3-1 win at Pecs, back in September 2013. They have since played a further seven games away, picking up just two points at Debrecen and Kaposvar.

The autumn match between Papa and Vidi produced a 2-1 win at the Perutz stadium for the red and blues, thanks to two early goals from Nemanja Nikolics. The home side did get a consolation goal through Griffiths, who has so far scored 7 goals in the league and is their leading scorer. Papa will include two former Vidi players in their team on Saturday: Defenders Adam Presinger and Gabor Csizmadia could both feature against their old team for the 16:00pm OTP league division one fixture on Saturday.
