The Brazilian has been in brilliant form over the first half of the season
Videoton's striker Andre Alves has ended up as the leading goal scorer over the autumn season. He found the net an incredible 14 times in 16 league games, scoring 5 of those in front of the home fans at the Sostoi stadium. He was in even deadlier form away from Szekesfehervar, where he scored 9 times. A total of 4 goals have been scored direct from the penalty spot, while he has also showed the unselfish side to his game, setting up 5 goals for his team mates. Videoton will be relying on Alves to return back to pre-season training, fit and well, and ready to cause more havoc in the opponents penalty area. His goals and skill will be needed in the second half of the season, if Vidi are to win their first league title since their formation. The forward will now travel home to Brazil over the Christmas break to spend quality time with his family.
