Paulo Sousa spoke shortly after the impressive 2-1 home win over FC Basel
Paulo Sousa: "We still have three matches, and nine points to play for, and we currently have a four points advantage. Our chances of progressing have increased thanks to today's win, than compared to a day ago, but we will need to carry on working hard. The players deserve today's success, as well as all the other successes, which they were all apart of, as they have worked really hard and with plenty of discipline in the training sessions. We played with even more maturity than before in today's game, and I would like to congratulate the players! To have reached this far is a big thing for us. I fully understand just how strong the other teams are in our group. The players do so much to achieve success. Videoton are gaining more respect abroad. We were up against a team that usually plays with two strikers, but they began with just one against us. This is a sign of respect. I would also like to thank the supporters who came out for the game and the way they backed us throughout. They helped motivate us in several moments, and helped us through the difficult periods in the game."
Murat Yakin: "Nice football and a win do not come together. Our opponents had two chances in front of goal and scored twice. We attacked throughout the whole match, but only managed to beat Bozsovics in the 91st minute. We will need to get as many points from the next three games as is enough to go through."
