We spoke to the Vidi manager about his thoughts for Sunday's season opener.
"I am excited about the start to the league season. Our home matches are very important to us, and we will do all we can to end the season at the top of the table. I am naturally pleased about Thursday's game, but we also know that having two games a week means we need to prepare in a different way than is the case when you only have to concentrate on the league. It is a nice challenge, but there is no problem with this as I would like Vidi to perform well in Europe and in the domestic league. I am really looking forward to the first league match. I consider DVTK to be a strong side with capable players. Ferenc Horvath understandably knows our team very well. I am sure that he has prepared DVTK well so I am counting on it being an interesting game. I do not want to talk about whether there will be any changes compared to Thursday's game. All I will say is that we will start with the 11 players that the coaching staff considers the best to face Diosgyőr. We got back a good answer from the Europa League game with regards to where we are fitness wise. It looks like we have improved in that area and that the players were sharp. I am please that we have moved forward in that area" - commented Henning Berg ahead of the opening match of the league season.
