The two managers shared their thoughts on the league match.
Joan Carrillo: I would firstly like to thank the supporters, with so many coming out to back the team. They played a very important part today. I would also like to congratulate the team as they fought until the final moment to try and turn the match around. This could be the most important aspect and the basis for being successful again in the next match. Debrecen are a very good team, who prepared well for today's match, they defended in numbers and also really well, and waited for the right chances to come along. They converted two of their three chances, which is hard to accomplish for any team, even if it is Barcelona or Real Madrid. We lost a match today but we need to carry on. I am satisfied with the players attitude and the work that they put in. The main thing from now on is to make sure that we do not become bitter because of today's match, but prepare for the league game at Paks and win there.
Kondás Elemér: I am very pleased as we beat a very good side, with Vidi having a 100% record in the league. We prepared for the win and I am delighted that we managed this. We always play very tight games with Videoton, ever since I have been manager of DVSC. Perhaps the only exception was the 3-1 defeat two years ago. Today's match was also an exciting one, and we converted the chances at a good ratio, while we did not leave space for the home side. This forced them to hit long balls in during the second half, but we defended well. Every win is the most important in our current position and this is how it was. There were periods in the match when we had to battle, but the lads did this. Kulcsar deserves praise for his two goals, but I am pleased overall with the teams performance.
