The reserve team, who have been playing in the second division, held their end of season ceremony on Wednesday. The coaching staff announced that a total of 8 players will be leaving the club in the summer.
Istvan Varga, manager of Videoton's reserve side, said that several of the players would be leaving the club, but added that they are very talented. He is sure that all of them will find other division two sides to play for, and even first division. However, the aims of Videoton and their second team are different to that of other first division sides. The reserve side will see their squad reduced to 14+2 for the season ahead.
The following players have been allowed to leave the club, and the coaching staff took time out to thank them all for their efforts, and wish them the best in their careers. Adam Zimanyi, Tamas Kerekgyarto, David Sotet, Alex Szeleczki, Tamas Kovacs, Peter Lelkes, Gergo Vaszicsku and Alison will all be leaving.
Two further players from the U19 side will make the step up to the reserve side next season. Manager Istvan Varga will have Szilard Papp and Adam Bezeredi to choose from next season. Three players from this season's division two side will step up and join the first team squad. They are Szolnoki, Margitics and Baracskai. The trio will join the others when the first team check back for pre season training on June 14th.
