Gyorgy Mezey gave his views on the home win over Győri ETO
Videoton produced a good first half performance to secure all three points on Saturday. Manager Gyorgy Mezey spoke after the final whistle, giving his thoughts on the match.
Gyorgy Mezey: "We had an interesting preparation for this match, and I am thinking of the fantastic championship winning event. We then had some great celebrations following that! It was a little hard to bounce back to the everyday things. Luckily the boys pulled everything out of the bag, and we managed to win the match with our first half performance. Our second half performance showed that we were not fully concentrating on the game in hand, with our minds perhaps on the previous couple of days. We used this game to prepare for the cup final on Tuesday, and Sebok did well to save their penalty to ensure our win."
Aurel Csertoi: "Videoton whatever their line up is will always be dangerous opponents. We managed to play a part in deciding the outcome of the match in the first half. I say this because we made two very bad errors by giving the ball away in the build up to both their goals. We were not assured enough with our first half performance. We were a little bit more precise in the second half, and we scored a nice goal. We failed to score from the penalty that we were awarded. That cost us a point in the end."
