MOL Vidi played out their final league game against relegated Haladas on Sunday.
MOL Vidi travelled to already relegated Haladas in match 33 of the OTP season. The first minutes saw Haladas trying to get through and Bamgboye saw his 11th minute shot from 23 meters go wide of the right post. Milanov looked active for Vidi but they could not turn it into chances early on. Haladas player Rui Pedro tried from 14 meters but it went wide of the post. Scepovic sent in a sharp cross six minutes later that Nemeth headed, with the ball ending up at Patkai at the far post, but his header went wide. Another four minutes passed before Scepovic laid the ball into the path of Patkai, who from 16 meters saw his effort go wide of the right post.
The home side went close on 31 minutes when Habovda sent a cross in that was met by the head of Priskin, but Kovacsik was well placed to save. Home keeper Rozsa then collected a Milanov shot from 18 meters after 36 minutes. Vidi went down the other end and had a chance a minute later. A Kovacs corner was met by Futacs, before Scepovic found Patkai, and the midfielder sent his left footed shot at the keeper. The first half came to an end with Juhasz clearing the danger in front of his own goal and Kovacsik then saving a shot from Haladas. The teams went in at the break with the score at 0-0.
The teams started the second half intensively. Vidi had a chance following a good counter attack that saw Kovacs play in Milanov, whose first touch was saved by Rozsa. Milanov had another chance a minute later that Rozsa once again collected. Habovda realised on 50 minutes that Kovacsik was a little bit out of his area, but the keeper was alert to it and he saved. The action continued with Bambgoye shooting over. Milanov cut inside on 56 minutes from the right and his shot was blocked. Attila Fiola suffered an injury after 58 minutes with a cut and the defender was forced to come off. His injury required stitches.
Haladas moved forward with four against four and Holodiuk fed Rui Pedro with the ball, which he sent over the bar from 19 minutes. Priskin then had a chance after 64 minutes that Kovacsik was equal to. Haladas took the lead after 67 minutes when a bass from Holodiuk was flicked into the path of Priskin by Ivanov, and the forward made no mistake from 11 meters to make it 1-0.
Futacs and Hodzic then both had chances following the opening goal. The eqaliser came from an own goal after a corner from Huszti was headed into his own net by Nemeth. (1-1).
There was still time for Huszti to send a shot into the side netting. With 89 minutes played, Nemeth Milan headed over following a corner for the home team. Injury time saw Hodzic shoot at goal from 24 meters, but Rozsa saved with a dive to his left.
Vidi closed the season in second place. This means that they will start in the summer in the Europa League qualifiers. The 1-1 draw with Haladas means 61 points with 53 scored and 37 conceded. Top goalscorer for Vidi is Marko Scepovic with 10 goals and Szabolcs Huszti provided 9 assists during the season.
There is still one final important game next Saturday against Honved in the Hungarian Cup final.
