Emil Rockov was born on the 27th January 1995 in Novi Sad. He started playing football at the Bolesnikov Academy at the age of nine and moved to Vojvodina's youth team in 2006. At the age of 18 he signed his first professional contract with Vojvodina, but in the first period his club loaned him first to Sloga Temerin and then to Proleter Novi Sad. In 2016, the latter club signed him on a free transfer, but a year later, in the 2016-2017 winter transfer window, he returned to FK Vojvodina, also as a free transfer. The goalkeeper, who holds both a Serbian and Hungarian passport, has kept goal for Vojvodina in 114 Serbian top-flight matches, 11 Serbian Cup matches and 2 European Championship qualifying matches in the last three and a half years. He won the Serbian Cup with his team after they beat Partizan Belgrade 6-4 on penalties in the final in June. He was Vojvodina's best player in the cup final according to InStat scores. Emil Rockov, who made his debut for the Serbian national team in autumn in a 1-0 win over Paraguay, has gone 45 of his 114 games in the Serbian top flight without conceding. He signed his contract with Vidi on 17 July 2020
