After the kick off we quickly got a chance in front of goal: Milicevic's 16-metre low shot was saved by Gyurján. After Papp's cross, Dala dived to the ball, which bounced off Serafimov's back and away from danger. Mátyás Kovács had the next chance, but he shot wide of the goal from a sharp angle. The initial momentum had died down, but it was still a real contest on the pitch.
Szentlőrinc took the lead in the 17th minute. A bouncing ball in front of the goal tricked Dala, and the onrushing Papp took the chance from close range (0-1). In the 22nd minute, a nice move ended with Stefanelli passing to Mátyás Kovács, who shot into the bottom right corner (1-1).
Our team kept the momentum, Milicevic's cross was just missed by Stefanelli, then Kalmár played in the active Kovács, whose shot was saved by the goalkeeper. In the 31st minute, Nagy headed a free-kick towards goal, the ball bounced off the left post and the visitors repeated from close range, Dala saved well.
The match was still tough, the sides did not give space to each other, and the referee even gave out a yellow card for some harsh tackles. The first half ended with Melnyik's 22-metre shot that missed the target.
Szentlőrinc changed their team at half-time and Vidi quickly turned the game around: in the 48th minute Csongvai's 19-metre free-kick bounced off the ball, the ball found Melnyik, who put it straight into the middle and Stefanelli headed into the empty net from close range (2-1). After the goal, Vidi went in search of more goals and in the 61st minute Szekszárdi's header from a corner was missed.
In the 63rd minute there was another Vidi goal: Stefanelli got hold of the ball and from 15 meters he shot with real power into the near top corner, the ball hit the goal post and hit the net (3-1). After a Dala save, our substitutes got the game going again, Babos' 14-metre shot was saved by the goalkeeper, then Katona's cross was picked up by Gyurján ahead of the oncoming Patrik Kovács.
Our youngsters led several promising attacks in the second half, but the visiting defenders always managed to deny them in the end. In the 90th minute, Szentlőrinc scored again to make the final result 3-2. There was no time for anything else, our team won its last friendly match.
The action will continue in a week on Saturday, when Puskás Akadémia will arrive at the Sóstói Stadion for a league match.
