FILIP HOLENDER

"We have had a good pre-season and, we will be ready for the start!"

We asked Filip Holender about the winter preparations, the friendly match against Szentlőrinc and the spring kick-off.

You joined Vidi in August 2024, this was your first training camp with the team. How do you evaluate the preparation in Croatia?

It was indeed my first training camp with Vidi, I feel we did a good job. Of course, the real test will be the way we play on the pitch and the results achieved. Apart from training hard, we had fun and these ten days have brought the team together even more. We played three training matches, in which we continued to improve. I was especially pleased to score a goal. Of course, the result isn't the most important thing during preparation, but scoring and winning is always a great feeling.

In the friendly matches you were given a chance in a new role, on the right side of midfield. Are you comfortable with this position?

Yes, and I feel comfortable there. For me, the most important thing is that the team works well and performs good. Luckily I'm a versatile player, I always try to do my best and do whatever my coach asks me to do, whatever position he expects me to play.

On Saturday, we will play our last pre-season game before the league opener against NB II Szentlőrinc. What do you expect from this match?

This time, the result will not be the priority, but to get even closer to the game and the form we want to show in the league. I expect a good game from the team and that nobody gets injured.

February is a busy month for us, with five games in just over three weeks, including league games against top teams and a cup match.

We know it won't be easy, we start the spring season against tough opponents. I am happy that we will be playing three home games in front of our fans. We have had a good preparation and we will be ready for the start.!
