Kata Forró scored four of the six goals in our team’s victory.
True to their status as favorites, our women’s senior team picked up a decisive victory on Friday evening at Paksi SE’s home pitch. With the season entering its final stretch, head coach Péter Andorka fielded the following starting lineup: Kovács B. – Sarbak, Lelkes, Tóth A., Kollár – Kántor, Janus, Kovács L., Bognár, Forró – Hajdu.
In the first half, our team controlled the game, which was reflected in the score: in the 20th minute, Petra Hajdu put us in the lead. By halftime, the home team had hit the crossbar once, and we went into the break with a one-goal lead.
At halftime, our head coach made two substitutions, and then the goal-scoring spree began in the 64th minute; in the remaining half-hour until the final whistle, Vidi's womens team found the net five times. Kata Forró netted four goals against Paks, and our team captain, Petra Bognár, also found the back of the net, resulting in a 0-6 final score. In addition to Horváth and Zuggó, who came on at halftime, Pajor, Sorok, and Simon also came on during the second half.
The action continues Saturday at home against PVSK, followed by the match in Dunaújváros that will likely decide the league title.
