Videoton came from 0-3 down to pick up a point at Paks on Tuesday afternoon.
Videoton played their second league cup group match on Tuesday In nice footballing weather. Both sides went into the game having won their first match in the competition. Paks had beaten Kozarmisleny 4-2, while Vidi comfortably beat Dunaujvaros 3-0.
The opening minutes of the game did not create any real chances in front of either goal. The first real events of the match saw Gyepes give away a free kick, which resulted in Heffler scoring from the set piece to put the home side ahead. Vidi could have levelled five minutes later, with Tar heading a Gyurcso free kick over the bar. The ball then fell to Paks player Delczeg following a 20th minute corner, and the forward made no mistake from close range to extend the lead to 2-0. Videoton then started to get more in to the game, enjoying possession and creating chances to get back in to the match. However, it was Paks that found the back of the net for the third time, after a quick counter attack was finished off by Paks' Kiss to make it 3-0.
José Gomes made a change at half time, bringing on Zé Luis for Lupeta. The move worked well as the substitute scored a minute into the second period to bring Vidi back in to it. There could have been another goal moments later, as the striker just failed to get on the end of a Nildo cross. Csernyanszki in the home goal pulled off a good save to deny Gyurcso in the 57th minute. He could do nothing after 68 minutes, after a move that ended with Szolnoki popping up in the opposite penalty area to calmly stroke the ball in to the back of the net to make it 3-2. The visitors went for broke in the remaining minutes as they tried hard to level the score. Set pieces and chances came, and even almost an own goal as a defender tried his best to clear the ball from Zé Luis. Paks hit the post after 88 minutes to remind Vidi that they were still in the game. The home side thought the points were in the bag, but Vidi had other ideas. Paraiba sent in a lovely cross for the arriving Gyurcso to meet and score to make the final score 3-3.
