Barnabás Bese, 27, 188 cm tall, was born on the 6th May 1994 in Budapest. He was brought up in the youth teams of Csepel, Ferencváros and MTK Budapest, and in 2012, he played his first adult NB II championship match for the Blue and Whites of Budapest, who won the league title in the Western Group of the second division that season, and made his debut in the top flight in the same calendar year. He also played regularly as a right-winger at the beginning of his career.
Bese quickly became a key member of his team, playing for all age-group national teams from U17 to U21, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists in 94 NB I matches for MTK between 2012 and 2016. He made his debut for the senior national team on 4th June 2016 in a pre-season match in Germany and was also part of Bernd Storck's 2016 European Championship squad, starting the group match against Portugal, which ended 3-3.
After the European Championship, he was signed by French second division side Le Havre, where he played in 117 league games until 2020, scoring 5 goals and providing 6 assists. In the 2017/2018 season, they came close to reaching the top flight, but were beaten in the play-offs by Ajaccio.
In August 2020 he moved to Belgian first division side Oud-Heverlee Leuven, where he played 17 league games until the end of 2021. After Storck, Zoltán Szélesi, Georges Leekens and Marco Rossi also counted on him to play for the senior team. So far, he has worn the national team shirt 23 times, scoring against Greece and Russia.
Barnabas Bese was signed by MOL Fehérvár FC in February 2022.
