We played 32 league games between 1980 and 2013, winning only three of them, and losing 22 games with 7 draws and 7 defeats in the old stadium of Debrecen. In the last ten years, the world has changed a lot, as we have played 12 NB I matches against DVSC in the Nagyerdei Stadium, which was inaugurated in 2014, winning six of them, drawing twice and losing four times.

Loki started the season under head coach Srdjan Blagojevic, but the Serbian coach was sacked at the end of last summer after just four league games. At the end of August, Tibor Dombi led Loki to victory against ZTE FC as acting head coach, and then Csaba Máté was appointed, but he was fired after less than two months, during which time DVSC have picked up 0 points in five league games. Once again, Tibor Dombi took the bench as acting head coach, and Debrecen drew 2-2 against FTC and ETO. New Debrecen head coach Nestor El Maestro made his debut at the end of November, and under his leadership they beat FTC 5-4 at home, Nyíregyháza 3-1 and MTK 2-0. In their last two league games, Loki have been without a point, losing 2-1 at home to league leaders Puskás Akadémi and 4-3 at Paks in the previous round.

After 21 rounds, DVSC is in the relegation spot with 19 points, 1 point ahead of last-placed Kecskemét and 4 points behind 10th-placed Nyíregyháza. DVSC have conceded the most goals in the league, with 44 in 21 matches.

DVSC were eliminated from the MOL Hungarian Cup in the 4th round at home to NB II Mezőkövesd.

The two most successful players of our opponents on Sunday are Donát Bárány and Brandon Domingues, who have 8-8 goals in the league.
