A different kind of goalkeeping training on the seaside

The Videoton goalkeepers wondered out to the beach on Tuesday afternoon for a different kind of training session. Goalkeeping coach Alejandro, decided to work the keepers hard on the beach instead. The heavy winds only added to the challenge for Tujvel and company. One of the large plastic balls even ended up in the cold sea thanks to the winds, which had the keepers often running after them.

The keepers produced some good saves in their new environment, which they are used to doing on the green grass pitches. It meant that they were forced to concentrate even more, as the balls were bouncing differently on the sand. Alejandro felt that the hour long session was very useful, as it taught them to count on the unpredictable situations involved in the life of a goalkeeper.
