The Irish finished second last in UEFA Nations League B, while the Bulgarians finished second in League C, so the stakes in the qualifying round will be whether the Bulgarians can claim promotion or the Irish can retain their League B status.
Bulgarian defender Simeon Petrov has also been invited to the Bulgarian squad.
