Goals from Nemanja Nikolic, Ivan Petryak and Budu Zivzivadze gave Vidi the three points.
Match 4 of the OTP league season saw Puskas Academy FC visit the MOL Arena Sosto. The Felcsut side went into the match on the back of two wins out of two. Manager Gabor Marton chose the following starting eleven: Kovácsik - Nego, Musliu, Stopira, Fiola - Alef, Houri - Funsho, Evandro, Petryak - Nikolic.
The first 5 minutes past without any major chance with the visitors showing playing confidently and enjoying more of the ball. A quick counter attack on 7 minutes saw Nikolic release Funsho with a good ball, but the visiting defender managed to clear the danger. The first Puskas chance arrived after 19 minutes. Corbu shooting over from 14 meters. Four minutes later and Kiss shot just wide from 20 meters. Vidi took the lead after 29 minutes: a nice quick move ended with Nego with the ball on the right and he played it into the middle for the unmarked Nikolic to find the back of the net (1-0).
Petryak shot at goal on 37 minutes from 20 meters, which Toth confidently saved. A minute later and a header from Nikolic from 8 meters went just wide of goal following a cross from the wing. Just before half time, a cross from Petryak was cleared away for a corner by Nagy ahead of Nikolic, who was ready waiting to pounce. At the other end, a shot from Kiss ended in the side netting. Vidi went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
The visitors made two changes ahead of the second half while Vidi came out for the second period with the same side. It was one of the changes after 56 minutes, Knezevic who curled a free kick from 24 meters towards the bottom right, which although Kovacsik got a hand to, still ended up in the net (1-1).
PAFC had another chance soon after the goal but Kovacsik was in the right place to deal with it. Komaromi shot at goal after 63 minutes, which brought a save out of the home keeper. Kovacsik again denied the visitors soon after with the first from Pisek and the second a header from Komaromi. Kiss tried again for the Felcsut side on 74 minutes. The end of the game belonged to Vidi and the red and blues again took the lead on 84 minutes: Nego sent in a low cross from the right, which although Hodzic connected with and brought a save from the keeper, the rebound fell to Petryak, who kept his composure before placing the ball into the back of the net (2-1).
A powerful shot from 20 meters on 89 minutes from Hodzic had keeper Toth reacting really well to tip it from under his bar. The 3 minutes of injury time brought a further goal: Zivzivadze using his strength well to hold off his marker before shooting from 14 meters into the bottom left corner (3-1).
The final chance of the game fell to Hodzic, who tried from 16 meters to curl the ball into the far corner, but Toth was able to save. The 3-1 win means Vidi jump to the top of the table but there are still games left to play this weekend. We are next in action on Thursday in the Europa League with a trip to Malta and a match against Hibernians FC.
